These terms govern your use of VI Web Hosting services provided by Terry Arthur Consulting. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
Services
VI Web Hosting provides managed WordPress hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, daily backups, and technical support. Service details and resource limits are defined by your selected hosting plan.
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Keeping your contact and billing information current
- The content you host on our servers
- Ensuring your website complies with applicable laws
Acceptable Use
You may not use our services to:
- Host content that is illegal under U.S. or U.S. Virgin Islands law
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, or spam
- Consume excessive server resources that degrade service for other customers
- Resell hosting services without a reseller agreement
- Store or transmit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible.
Billing and Payment
Hosting is billed monthly at the rate shown on your selected plan. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment is due at the beginning of each billing cycle. We accept major credit cards.
If payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and provide a grace period before suspending service. Suspended accounts can be reactivated by updating payment information.
Uptime and Service Level
We target 99.9% uptime for all hosting plans. This excludes scheduled maintenance, which we will announce in advance when possible. We do not offer financial SLA credits at this time, but we take downtime seriously and will work to resolve issues promptly.
Backups
We perform daily automated backups of all hosted websites. Backups are retained for 30 days. While we make every effort to ensure backup integrity, we recommend you maintain your own backups as well. We are not liable for data loss beyond what our backup system can recover.
Support
All plans include technical support for hosting-related issues. Support is available via phone, email, and our contact form during business hours. We aim to respond to all inquiries within one business day, usually within hours.
Support covers server configuration, WordPress core issues, SSL, DNS, and email. It does not cover custom theme development, plugin troubleshooting, or content creation, though we are happy to provide referrals for those services.
Cancellation
You may cancel your hosting at any time by contacting us. There are no cancellation fees or long-term contracts. Upon cancellation:
- Your website will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- You may request a full export of your files and database before cancellation
- Website data will be deleted within 30 days after the service period ends
Limitation of Liability
VI Web Hosting is provided \”as is.\” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Terry Arthur Consulting is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for hosting in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify existing customers of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
